Teresa Schedler

Teresa Schedler, who joined the Texas Center for Legal Ethics in 1998, is the Director of Compliance and Operations. In that role, she oversees the implementation of an order by the Supreme Court of Texas for all newly licensed attorneys to take the Justice James A. Baker Guide to Ethics and Professionalism in Texas. She’s responsible for the annual budget, financial oversight and yearly audit. Ms. Schedler coordinates all governance meetings, events, manages the organization’s staff, vendor relations, and office operations. Ms. Schedler endeavors to raise awareness of the Center’s ethics education offerings and resources.

Before coming to the Center, Ms. Schedler had a broad range of nonprofit experience from planning events for an international hospitality association which included logistics for a tradeshow with over 5,000 attendees and 200 exhibiting companies. She handled the marketing of exhibit space and sponsorship sales on behalf of the group which netted the organization over one million dollars of revenue each year.

Prior to that, Ms. Schedler worked at the Texas Physical Therapy Association, where she oversaw the budget, day-to-day financial management including the yearly audit, and political action efforts. Additionally, Ms. Schedler also oversaw the layout of the organization’s magazines and other publications, and leading in the group’s membership initiative.
